we live in a world of fast cars and faster food, throw away fashion and tossing the litter.

 

making small choices that can positively affect our environment aren't hard. at the house of bean, durable, conscious, sustainable clothing is honestly and thoughtfully made. using natural dyes and organic fabrics to make items that tell stories of adventure, exploration and excitement.

every piece is unique, handmade to a high standard and often custom made to suit you.​

all fabrics are responsibly sourced and are mostly organic hemp and cotton. they are dyed in house which produces my recognisable colour palette. after printing the fabric is cut into pattern pieces and screen printed using UK made eco friendly inks before turning around to my array of vintage sewing machines for production.

each print on every piece of clothing is special , inspired by my off grid days and love for travel, most of my illustration is based on the flora, fauna and fungi that i find around me, wherever that may be. from albanian turkey tails found on a holiday hike to wild garlic buds found in devon in the spring. each one represents the natural world around us and is an encouragement to go on your own foraging missions.
